The Women Empowerment Foundation Scholarship Grant
The Women Empowerment Foundation Scholarship was created to help power the movement of female leaders by inspiring and enabling women to pursue higher education. We envision a future where every woman has the ability and rights to excel, irrespective of her background or circumstances. Together, we rise higher, achieve more, and create a future where every woman can boldly step into her own greatness.
The Women Empowerment Foundation is proud to offer $2500 scholarship grants designed to support young women in advancing their education in STEM and Entrepreneurship. This scholarship aims to empower future leaders by providing the financial resources needed to pursue their academic and entrepreneurial goals. We are committed to fostering innovation, leadership, and diversity in these fields, encouraging young women to break barriers and excel in their chosen careers. Each grant is open to all female students who are Canadian residents applying for an undergraduate program in a Canadian post-secondary institute with specific grants for females pursuing an education/career in STEM, Indigenous and BIPOC females pursing an undergraduate program in a Canadian post-secondary institute. Overall, scholarship recipients will be those who have proven a commitment to academics, community service and extracurricular activities.
Grant Details
Scholarship supporting female students residing in or attending college in Canada.
The scholarship is open to first year undergraduate students.
Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Regions: Applicants must be females residing in and planning to attend post secondary school in Canada

Enrolment: Students should be planning to enrol in an undergraduate program.

Selection Criteria: Recipients will be chosen based on their commitment to academics, community service, and participation in extracurricular activities.

The Giller Mantella Scholarship
The Giller Mantella Scholarship is a collaboration between The Giller Foundation and Mantella Corporation. The scholarship is for Black, Indigenous and racialized students across Canada graduating high school and interested in continued education in creative writing and literature. The scholarship will award $10,000 to three deserving recipients each year to further their education. The program will run for three years with the potential to be extended.
Requirements & Eligibility

2025 Graduating high school student, second and third-year undergraduate students

Identify as Black, Indigenous or racialized students

Cumulative average of 75

Pursuing a post-secondary degree in literature or creative writing

A 500-word essay describing your passion for literature.

50-100 word Bio from each applicant
